Ricci earned her first fame and praise in her early years as a star child for her performances on The Addams Family, Addams Family Values and Casper. Ricci was able to begin playing adult roles in The Ice Storm (1997), which was followed with The Opposite of Sex, in which Ricci received an Golden Globe Award nomination as Best Actress. Following Sleepy Hollow in 1999 and Monster 2003 the actress continued to have great success.
